No its not part of the ship channel! TheatrePort is a a fantastic website geared specifically to all things Theatre in Houston. I have not been back to the site in some time and was happy to see that it has been upgraded and is much easier to use than before.

The information you will find on the site includes a comprehensive listing of shows going on in the Houston area, reviews, arts related jobs auditions and a pretty good idea of what is happening in the Theatre Community. I have always been interested as to how this site started and who the brains were behind it as the idea is fantastic. We tried to contact them through the website to get the inside scoop but were unable to get a response. So if you have the inside scoop, be sure to let us know.

As an artist that has lived in NY and LA, I have found sites such as this an invaluable resource not only from a career aspect, but as an arts lover as well. TheatrePort allows you to tune in directly to the pulse of the Houston Theatre Scene. Any theatre-lovin’ Houstonian should definitely bookmark this site.
