A Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Rantoul and Die

Packaged as “A Romantic Comedy Wrapped in Razor Wire,” Rantoul and Die opens with great anticipation at the Lilian Theater in Hollywood, May 16. The Midwestern World Premiere comedy written by Mark Roberts, executive producer and writer of the hit sitcom, “Two And A Half Men”, explores the thin line between love and hate. Love and devotion. Or a punch and a kiss!

Set in Rantoul, Illinois, (population 12,852), the play follows the end of the road for Rallis and Debbie’s marriage. Debbie wants Rallis to pack his things and hit the trail and well, Rallis, let’s just say, he is not so fond of this idea.

In Rantoul and Die, Mark Roberts has populated Rantoul and Die with four of the funniest, ugliest, heartbreakingly real characters ever, and crams them together in a grimy little world that makes the local Dairy Queen and Dante’s Inferno seem one and the same…

Directed by two-time Tony Award-nominee Erin Quigley and featuring cast members from Tim Robbins’ The Actors’ Gang, Buzzworks Theatre Company and Chicago’s Defiant Theatre Company.

This bottle-to-the-back-of-the-head performance should make for one interesting evening.
