Westside Eclectic, the improv company operating in Santa Monica since 2005, have joined forces with the largest national improv touring group to create Mi’s Westside Comedy Theater.

Last month, M.i. Productions took over operations of the theater and training center, bringing with them the same passion for comedy that has made their Mission IMPROVable touring show the most popular touring improv show of the last 7 years.

Lloyd Ahlquist, who joined the theater in 2007 as General Manager, was a founding member of M.i. Productions, the parent company of Mission IMPROVable. Lloyd will continue his role as General Manager and Artistic Director, while being joined by Colin Sweeney as the Sales Manager.

The theater training center will continue to hold a full training program in improvisation, as well as classes in stand-up and comedy writing. M.i.’s Westside Comedy Theater provides a new home for their “explosive comedy” style shows, as well as a stage for the Westside’s most talented comedy performers.

The Grand Re-Launch of M.i.’s Westside Comedy Theater will take place May 14th, 15th and 16th beginning at 8 PM each night. Touting itself as the best comedy west of the 405, you should definitely stop by M.i.’s this weekend for a sneak peak of what will surely be great Improv for years to come.
